Record needed Route to use
County Court or District Court filing The county records directory provides separate links for each court. The County Clerk expressly says it does not maintain their records.
Sheriff report or local history inquiry The Sheriff Support Services records desk provides public reports and criminal-history request services. Public desk hours are Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Nebraska criminal-history report Use Nebraska State Patrol for its state RAP-sheet product, which includes reported fingerprint-based Nebraska arrests and resulting dispositions, subject to public-release limits.

Complete the District Court request around the exact filing

  • ✓
    Supply known case locators

The District Court Clerk form asks for case number and years if known, party names and birth date if known. Describe the document, order or pleading; select Criminal as the case type when applicable.

  • ✓
    Choose an available copy format

The form distinguishes email and paper copies. Emailed certified copies are limited to parties or attorneys on the case; do not assume every requester qualifies for that option.

  • ✓
Expect a quote for paper delivery

Paper copies are listed at $0.25 per page, with possible postage. Certification begins at $1. The office contacts paper-copy requesters to arrange payment; document age and location may limit available options.

  • ✓
    Distinguish a reply from completion

The form asks you to expect a reply within two business days. For questions, call 402-441-7328 and press 5. That reply window is not a promise that every record will be delivered then.

For the state report, protect the search and retrieval details

  1. 01
Check the subject and recipient before submitting

NSP lists a $45 online request. Verify name and birth date carefully: a submitted search cannot be edited, and an incorrect query may require another paid request.

  2. 02
    Retain the receipt number

NSP says it cannot provide report information without a valid receipt number. Save it with your request details instead of relying only on a later email.

  3. 03
Retrieve and save the completed report

Reports remain available for 14 days after being made available. A no-record result may generate no email, so return to the service to retrieve it. Requests are non-refundable; public results are not the unrestricted complete-history view.
